Peaking up from the foothills, Horsetooth Rock is a Fort Collins icon. Climbers ascend it, locals hike up to it, and residents use it to navigate about town. Nobody is certain when the moniker "Horsetooth Rock" came to be, but the name fits the rock formation's description perfectly.
