Don't love your purchase from the CSU Bookstore? Return it!

We want you to be happy with every purchase you make at the CSU Bookstore. If you are not happy, we will make it right. 

What is the Return Policy? 

CSU Bookstore will accept returns for 30 days after the original purchase. All merchandise returns must be in new condition with all original tags and packaging. All returns must be accompanied by the original receipt. 

Electronics such as calculators and headphones must be returned unopened within 10 days of purchase. 

Sale and clearance items are non-returnable. 

Textbooks and course materials have a separate return policy, posted on this page. 

Any applicable shipping charges are NON-REFUNDABLE. 

How do I return an item?

You can return your merchandise to the CSU Bookstore one of two ways:

• Bring your purchase and receipt to any CSU Bookstore location.
• Send your return to the CSU Bookstore with your original receipt and our Merchandise Return Form to:

What do I include with my return?

If you are sending a return to us, please print and enclose the CSU Bookstore Merchandise Return Form. This form helps our student employees process your return efficiently.

Misdirected Returns

The CSU Bookstore can only exchange or refund items purchased from our website at bookstore.colostate.edu or purchases made at our CSU Bookstore and CSU Ram Zone locations. We cannot provide refunds for CSU Rams gear purchases made at the Canvas Stadium locations or other websites selling CSU Rams gear. 

The CSU Bookstore is not responsible for accepting, safekeeping, or returning any items returned to us in error, including items not purchased from the CSU Bookstore or Ram Zone, or rental books returned to the wrong bookstore. Misdirected returns are handled on a case-by-case basis, and may be refunded to a CSU Bookstore Gift Card, or returned to sender at the sender's expense.
