CSU Bookstore Textbook Rental Information

Essential information about returning your rental textbooks to the CSU Bookstore.

RENTALS FOR FALL 2023 ARE DUE BACK ON OR BEFORE DECEMBER 15, 2023!

CSU Bookstore Rents Course Materials

While other retailers are ending their course materials rental programs, the CSU Bookstore continues to provide a selection of rental course materials to help students save money on their course materials.

Students can use rental course materials like normal books. Students can use highlighters to emphasize passages, or write small notes in the margins to help understand materials. Students who determine they would like to keep their rental books after the semester can pay the difference between the rental price and the purchase price and add the rented book to the student's personal library.

As the semester ends, students will need to return textbook rentals to the CSU Bookstore. Below are instructions on how to return textbook rentals to ensure you are not assessed any late fees or charged to replace unreturned textbooks.

Rentals for the Fall 2023 semester are due on Friday, December 15, 2023.

IMPORTANT: These instructions are only for textbooks rented from the CSU Bookstore.
