There is a lot going on when it's time to start classes. You can cross "buy textbooks" off your list when you sign up for Textbook Preorder from the CSU Bookstore! It's the easy, cost-effective way to get your course materials! Best of all, this service is FREE!
When you sign up for Textbook Preorder, all you have to do is answer a few questions on our Textbook Preorder form.
Mid-January, we will pull your schedule and get the books you need for your courses. Your Textbook Preorder will be waiting for you when you come to school. All you have to do is come to the North Ballroom in the Lory Student Center with your CSU ID, and you will have the books you need for the semester.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, students are NOT ALLOWED to bring guests, including parents, when picking up their orders. Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) are permitted for those with disabilities.
Face coverings are required inside the Lory Student Center.
For Spring 2021 - If you live on-campus and place your Textbook Preorder BEFORE January 8, 2021, we will deliver your course materials to your residence hall room BEFORE you move in.
- Textbook Preorder delivery will result in entry into your room where your materials will be placed just inside the room on either January 11 or 12.
- Students who live off-campus or submit their preorder request after January 9, 2021 will pick up their Textbook Preorder from the North Ballroom inside the Lory Student Center.

Live off campus? Pick up your order starting Saturday, January 16 in the North Ballroom in the Lory Student Center.

How do I know my order is ready to pick up?
All Textbook Preorders will be ready to pick up starting January 16, 2021. You may receive a reminder email informing you when to pick up your order.
How does On-Campus Delivery work? What if I live off-campus?
Students who place a Textbook Preorder before January 8, 2021 who are living in an on-campus residence hall will have their order delivered to their room before moving in. Your order will include your books and receipt.
Students who live off campus or submit their Textbook Preorder request after January 8, 2021 will pick up their order from the North Ballroom in the Lory Student Center. Shipping of Textbook Preorders via UPS/USPS is not available.
How do you know what books I will need?
We will pull your schedule on or about January 10, 2021. This is the schedule we will use to determine what course materials you will need.
Do you pull all items required for courses?
We pull the required textbooks, plus any optional materials if you requested them on your sign up form. Some courses may require supply kits. These items can be purchased in the bookstore when you pick up your Textbook Preorder.
What is an iClicker, and will I need one?
An iClicker is an electronic polling device that allows instructors to engage students in a classroom by posing questions in real time. Students respond to the questions by using their iClicker. Student responses are collected, and results provide immediate feedback to the students and instructor for course comprehension.
If you already own an iClicker, you do not need to request another one.

How can I cancel a portion of my Textbook Preorder?
At this time, our system will not allow you to cancel a portion of your Textbook Preorder. You can return any unneeded textbooks when you pick up your order.
How do I cancel my Textbook Preorder?

How will I know how much my books will cost?
You will receive an itemized receipt showing the costs for each book when you pick up your textbooks.
Can I pick up my Textbook Preorder early?
Students can begin to pick up their Textbook Preorders starting Saturday, January 16, 2021. We are unable to offer early pick up of Textbook Preorders.
How long do I have to pick up my Textbook Preorder?
Students can pick up their Textbook Preorders until we close on Monday, January 18, 2021. For unusual or unforeseen circumstances, students can make arrangements to pick up their Textbook Preorder at a later date by sending a request via email to [email protected].
What happens if the instructor decides not to use the book I received from Textbook Preorder?
Simply return the book to the bookstore before January 29, 2021 for a full refund.
How does Textbook Preorder work when my course uses online (Inclusive Access) course materials?
If you are in a course which offers online (Inclusive Access) materials, you will receive access to your materials on the first day of class. Please check Canvas or your @colostate.edu email for more details.

Pick Up Location
Students can pick up Textbook Preorders from the North Ballroom located on the third floor of the Lory Student Center. The North Ballroom is located above the bookstore near the University Club/Aspen Grille.
