Pay for textbooks, course materials, and school supplies with your student account at CSU Bookstore.
The CSU Bookstore provides you the option to charge textbooks, supplies, and other eligible items listed below to your student account. Your bookstore purchase is paid the same way you pay your tuition and fees to the university – whether you, your family, or employer pays tuition and fees, or if you receive financial aid in the form of loans, grants, and scholarships.
- Easy – Just present your textbooks, school supplies, and other eligible items along with your student ID to the cashier for in-store purchases, or choose “Student Account” when checking out on our website.
- Smart – When paid in full according to university rules, charges to your Student Account are interest free. In addition, parents can enjoy the option to pay for student textbooks and supplies without granting access to personal credit card accounts.
- Convenient – Students enrolled at CSU in Fort Collins, as well as students enrolled in classes at CSU Online are eligible.
What Items Can I Charge To My Student Account?
Only eligible educational expenses may be charged to Student Accounts. Items that can be charged to Student Accounts include:
- Textbooks
- General Books
- School Supplies
- iClickers
- Headphones
- Water Bottles
- Backpacks
- Art Supplies
- Planners and Calendars
How Do I Charge to My Student Account?
When you are purchasing at the store, simply present your student ID to the cashier for payment.
If you do not have your student ID available, you will need a valid photo ID and have your student ID number available.
Students wishing to purchase using a Student Account on our website need to register for an account by clicking here or the orange button below.
Register for an AccountAt checkout, select “Student Account” as your tender type.
The minimum purchase for any Student Account purchase is $5.
If you decide you need to return an item purchased on your Student Account, all your items will be credited to your Student Account per the standard CSU Bookstore return policy.
How Do I Pay for Bookstore Charges Placed On My Student Account?
Charges to your student account are collected by the CSU Cashier’s Office, and are paid when a student pays tuition and fees to the University. For details on how to pay your bill, please consult the CSU Cashier’s Office.
Do Semester at Sea students have Student Account charging privileges?
At this time, Semester at Sea students do not have the option to charge textbooks and supplies to their student account.
My Student Account charge was declined. What happened?
You may have a hold on your account that must be cleared before any additional charges can be processed to your student account. The bookstore cannot clear holds that are placed on accounts; students should check their account on RamWeb, or contact the CSU Cashier’s Office for assistance.
What do I do if there is a CSU Bookstore charge to my student account that I am unfamiliar with?
If you don’t recognize a charge to your student account, please click the button below to complete our Student Account Charge Inquiry Form. We will investigate the charge and provide you a response within two business days.

The CSU Bookstore charges Day One Access course materials to Student Accounts. Students participating in Textbook Preorder have their purchase charged to their student account.

What items can I charge to my Student Account at the CSU Bookstore?
Students can only charge eligible education expenses to their Student Accounts. Items students can charge to a Student Account include:

How do I charge to my Student Account?
When purchasing at the store, simply present your student ID to the cashier for payment.
If you do not have a student ID available, you will need a valid photo ID and have your student number available.
Students wishing to purchase using a student account must login using the eID/NetID sign-on option before checking out.
Student Account is not a payment option during Guest Checkout.
- At checkout, select "Student Account" as your payment type.
- Our system will reject orders using Student Account payment if your order contains non-eligible items such as t-shirts or mugs.
If you decide you need to return an item purchased on your Student Account, all your items will be credited to your Student Account per the standard CSU Bookstore return policy.

Is charging to your Student Account the same as using Ram Cash?
No. When you are charging to your student account, you are not using your Ram Cash to pay for the purchase. The CSU Bookstore does not accept Ram Cash for payment.
